Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) continues to strengthen its efforts to market the country’s hospitality sector beyond the borders in a bid to lure more investors as well as tourists.

Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country, and it has great potential to do even better given the right marketing channels.
The Government agency recently participated in an international tourism expo held in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, organized in collaboration with Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA). It was the 11th time the Southern Africa state had hosted the tourism event.
Ms. Augustina Makoye who represented TTB expressed the great interest of Zimbabweans to visit Tanzania and explore the fullness of the sector. She said many participants enquired about the industry and the tourist attractions available in Tanzania. The representative noted that many participants were not acquainted with the attraction sites that cut across national parks and games reserves.
‘Tanzania Unforgettable’ tourism strategy was a vehicle to lure more tourists to visit and enjoy the attraction sites. The promotion campaign is a platform to woo such tourists to create business opportunities in the industry. Tanzania already boasts of many renowned tourism resources that are yet to be exploited.
She noted that the Zimbabweans look forward to visiting the beaches during holidays to celebrate their special occasions and would be ideal to market the attraction sites. They could as well tour the island of Zanzibar.
